Medium-term review and discussion of the Country program of cooperation between government of Turkmenistan and United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) for 2010-2015 were included into agenda of the meeting held today in the conference hall of the capital’s “Oguzkent” Hotel.
Alongside with the employees of the UNICEF, the representatives of various ministries and departments, including Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Economy and Development, Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Population, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Culture, Parliament, Turkmen National Institute of Democracy and Human Rights at the President of Turkmenistan, State Committee for Statistics, social organizations of our country, mass media and others participated in the meeting.
International experts - the Regional director of the UNICEF for Asian, East Europe and CIS countries Mrs. Marie-Pierre Poirier and representative of Children's Emergency Fund in Turkmenistan Mrs. Oyunsavhan Dendevnorov made a speech at the meeting.
The participants exchanged views on realization process of programs, being realized jointly with the UNICEF, told about attainments taking into account the Plan of Actions all over the country. In the course of the work of the meeting, the preventatives of the Parliament of Turkmenistan, officials of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Population, State Committee for Statistics and Turkmen National Institute of Democracy and Human Rights at the President of Turkmenistan provided the presentation of annual results of activities and plans for current year of 2013.
In conclusion, the participants highly appreciated the attained level of cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UNICEF and expressed confidence in successful continuation of partnership with the Children's Emergency Fund as well as other UN agencies for welfare and further happy life of the growing generation of the Turkmen residents.
