A regular video bridge linked the students of the Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications and Institute of Architecture and Construction into single educational space. According to the specialization of the training at the higher educational institution, the future specialists in the field of communications provided the technicality of the video bridge. Support in organization of such modern training format became usual work.
The Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications has repeatedly organized the educational video bridges between students of various higher educational establishments, who simultaneously took part in the lecturing series on vital trends of professional training by experienced tutors among teachers and specialists of relevant sectors.
Within the framework of this action, joint training of students lasted two days. The first day included on-line lectures. On the second day, the group of teachers and students of the construction institute arranged for the representatives of “partner” institute an original excursus to Lebap province, where they became the witnesses of opening of new cement plant in outskirts of Garlyk settlement located not far from etrap center Koytendag. The representatives of the capital’s higher educational establishment also became the participants of solemn ceremony in honor of the commissioning of Atamyrat-Kerkichi Highway Bridge over Amyderya, which is of great significance for socio-economic development of not only southeast part of Turkmenistan but also transnational transport corridor, rapidly forming in our country.
Visit of these strategic facilities was envisaged with conditions of practical training of students. Within its framework, the delegation from the construction higher educational establishment of our country was familiarized in detail with peculiarities of system and erection of the bridge and visited chemical laboratories of the cement plant, its control unit owing to which the work process is realized. Particular attention was focused on study of building materials, being used in production.
Organization of such distance learning became quite widespread form of the training at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, which initiating organization of video-bridges, also cooperates actively with the Turkmen State Energy Institute in Mary. Among the last examples of such joint training, it is worth mentioning the on-line lecture in English language “Power station in Turkmenistan” from the part of energy institute.
The Institute of Architecture and Construction and Institute of Energy are united with the frames of the European project – “TEMPUS” aimed at inclusion of new energy management into the list of specialties of both higher educational establishments. The Higher School of Entrepreneurship in Bielefeld (Germany), which teachers repeatedly appeared in on-line visual communication with their Turkmen colleagues owing to possibilities of “virtual” communication, is the partner of the Turkmen higher educational institutions and coordinator of the project.
Such modern format of distance learning has been introduced into practice of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, where this modern type of communication was successfully tested and is actively applied today between faculties as well as separate departments and auditoriums.
