According to the results of the Group E qualification tournament in the capital of the Philippines – Manila, Turkmen footballers will play in the final of the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup.
The both teams with six points each had good chances for getting into the final. The decisive match was hard for the teams. The only goal kicked by a forward of the Philippine team in the 67th minute decided the fate of match.
Thus, the Philippine team gained nine points and took the first place in Group E, the national team of Turkmenistan with six points was the best among runners-up due to the brilliant difference of the balls kicked and missed (10-1) and also was qualified for the final of the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup along with the team of Bangladesh taken the second place in Group D.
