The sporting events are held throughout the country, in the Turkmen capital and all regions of Turkmenistan within the framework of the Week of Health and Happiness.
The main sports arena of the third day of the Week of Health and Happiness was the Galkynysh Sports Complex. The solemn ceremony of opening of the Chance International Basketball Training Camp took place there. The youth teams of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan as well as the top basketball teams representing five regions of the country at the age of 16-17 took part in the ceremony. NBA and FIBA highly qualified coaches were invited to train young basketball players.
The Ashgabat city kickboxing tournament involving more than 40 sportsmen took place at the Galkynysh Sports Complex within the Week of Health and Happiness.
Following kicboxers, boxers who also competed for the medals in the city tournament appeared on the ring of the Galkynysh Sports Complex. Over 100 sportsmen representing seven sports schools, including a specialized sports school of the State Committee for Sports, Olymp, Shapak, Zahmet, Gundogar, Labour Reserves and Gerchek Sports Schools participated in the boxing tournament held under the aegis of the Week of Health and Happiness.
The Galkynysh Sports Complex was also the venue for the city karate tournament that brought together over 100 best sportsmen of the Turkmen capital.
Masters of water sports, including swimmers, divers, and synchronized swimmers demonstrated exhibition performances in the Water Sports Complex in Ashgabat.
Sporting contests continued in Balkan, Lebap and Mary Velayats.
