Solemn closing ceremony of IV National Sports Contest, which final has coincided with the Week of Health and Happiness was held in the capital’s multifunctional stadium “Ashgabat”.
Under fanfares, announcing about beginning of the closing ceremony of the Sports Contest, 18 teams - prize winners of the final starts appeared on the football field. They were solemnly awarded with the medals, the Cups, diplomas as well as valuable prizes on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Besides, today, competition for the Cup of the city on kabaddi was held in the physical-sports complex “Ashgabat”. The matches of the third round of Turkmenistan’s Indoor Soccer Championship among veterans of this kind of sports – from 45 years old and elder were played on new sport field of the capital.
On this day, the competitions on national kinds of sports, fencing, track and field, volleyball, chess, handball, basketball, indoor soccer, table tennis, intellectual and outdoor games and others were held in the regions of the country. Thousands of followers of healthy life-style took part in it.
