A meeting with a delegation of the Russian Federation leading by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting agenda focused on the issues of further development of the Turkmen-Russian political dialogue, the prospects for widening mutually-beneficial bilateral relations, including consolidation of partnership between Turkmenistan and federal subjects of the Russian Federation.
Particular attention was paid to the important aspects of the regional and international problems. The sides underlined the close or similar positions of the countries on such important aspects as strengthening the peace and security and guaranteeing sustainable development on the regional and global level as well.
In conclusion, the meeting participants called for enhancing close relations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation and continuing the practice of regular consultations between the foreign-policy agencies of the two countries.
