Today, the 21st Football Championship of Turkmenistan has started on the football fields among teams of major league.
Ten teams contend for medals of the national championship, being conducted in four rounds. Four of them – “Ashgabat”, ITTU (International Turkmen-Turkish University), “Altyn Asyr” and “Talyp sporty” represent the capital, “Balkan” from Balkanabat and “Shagadam” from Turkmenbashi – the Balkan province, “Akhal”, “Merv”, “Dashoguz” and “Bagtiyarlyk-Lebap” – Akhal, Mary, Dashoguz and Lebap provinces correspondingly.
The first goal of the Championship-2013 was kicked in “Ashgabat” multifunctional stadium, where the owner of the Cup of Football Federation of Turkmenistan - “Akhal” accepted the team of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism “Talyp sporty”. Forward of “Akhal” Dovlet Atayev became its author at the 11th minute of the game. 28 minutes later, referee of FIFA Igor Barabash ordered off Dovletgeldi Durdiyev in the team of students for the foul play and set the first penalty kick in the current championship. It was performed by Didar Hajiyev. At the 45th minute, Serdar Geldiyev increased the advantage of the athletes of the Honored Coach of Turkmenistan Ali Gurbani up to three goals. And at the 67th minute, Sohbet Allanurov fixed the final score – 4:0 in favor of “Akhal”.
The first round will completed on April 13 with matches: “Balkan” – “Dashoguz”, “Merv” - -“Bagtiyarlyk-Lebap”, ITTU - “Ashgabat”, and Shagadam” - “Altyn Asyr”.
According to the results of the championship, which finishes in autumn, the best team of the country will get a right to perform in 2014 at the third Asian Club tournament – the Cup of the President of AFC.
