Meeting of the authorized representatives of the Caspian coastal states started its work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Main topic of the agenda became the discussion of the draft Agreement on prevention of emergency situations in the Caspian Sea and liquidation of their consequences, which was worked out by the Turkmen party.

Within the framework of the view exchange, the meeting participants noted the significance of this draft Agreement, which will serve for formation of legal basis for further productive international partnership.

Meeting of the authorized representatives of the Caspian coastal states will last three days.
