Three matches in Ashgabat, Dashoguz and Turkmenabat on April 16 opened the 2nd round of the Premier League Championship.
The match in the administrative centre of the northern region of the country was the first to take place. FC Dashoguz played with FC Altyn Asyr, the two-time Cup winners from Ashgabat in the field of the 10,000-seat stadium.

Begench Mammadov from the host team brought the score level. 14 minutes before the final whistle Nazar Bairamov scored the second goal that was victorious. Parahat Jumanazarov from the team of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism scored a goal 1-0 on the 22nd minute. Aleksandr Bolian, the top goalscorer of the 2012 season Turkmenistan Championship scored a goal on the 48th minute 1-1. He has scored three goals in two matches which is the best result of the season.
FC Bagtyyarlyk-Lebap played with MTTU, the bronze winners of the 2012 Turkmenistan Championship, in Turkmenabat. The hosts were able to play with the Turkmenistan Super Cup winners on an equal footing in the first half of the match. The guests had a greater advantage after the break. A forward of MTTU Berdy Shamuradov, a member of the national team of Turkmenistan, scored a penalty goal on the 54th minute 1-0.
After Rustam Saparov was sent off the field a minute after that, Bagtyyarlyk-Lebap had to play in the minority. Suleiman Mukhadiev scored the goals on the 74th and 79th minutes that brought a victory to MTTU 3-0.
