The ceremony of opening of the “Fashion & Textile – 2013” 18th International Exhibition of Textile, Clothes, Leather Goods and Industrial Equipment took place at the International Exposition Centre in Riga, Latvia that will offer a vast exposition, fashion shows, conference, business promotion matchmaking, the newest spring-summer collection shows and the Competition for Young Fashion Designers “Habitus Baltija 2013”.
This year’s fair will present a vast exposition of clothing, home textile, lingerie, leathers, fashion accessories, production equipment and supplies offered by manufacturers and distributors from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Italy, Finland, Spain, Poland, Great Britain, Germany, India and other countries. Turkmenistan represented by the specialists of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the relevant ministries and departments and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan has taken part in this prestigious forum for the first part.
The pavilion of our country is distinguished by its color and a wide range of finished goods from jean, terry cloth, jersey, cotton wool, cotton yarn, Turkmen panne velvet and keteni manufactured at the textile industry enterprises of Turkmenistan.
Turkmen carpets, the applied art articles, jewelry, their originality and perfect quality arouse keen interest among visitors.
A main event of the day was the Silk Road Fashion Show presented by the Ashgabat Fashion House and Gulzaman salon. The bright collection showcased the colorful high-quality silk articles with national patterns. The unique national color of our models produced a deep impression on the audience and delighted leading designers and fashion experts.
On 20 April, “Fashion & Textile 2013” will offer the panel discussion “Textile: Opportunities for Cooperation and New Markets” with participation of textile industry experts from Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine to discuss the opportunities for cooperation with European and CIS manufacturers.
The representatives of the Turkmen delegation were received at the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia to discuss the further development of fruitful bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries.
