Export products of Turkmenistan strengthen positions on the world market

The ceremony of closing of the “Fashion & Textile – 2013” 18th International Exhibition of Textile, Clothes, Leather Goods and Industrial Equipment took place in Riga, Latvia. This year’s fair presented a vast exposition of clothing, home textile, lingerie, leathers, fashion accessories, production equipment and supplies offered by manufacturers and distributors from various countries of the world.

Within three days, the exposition of Turkmenistan distinguished by colorful design and wide range of textile products attracted attention of businessmen and numerous guests to the exhibition. The exposition stands showcased various products manufactured by the textile industry enterprises of our country. World-known Turkmen carpets, jewelry, articles of the applied arts as well as beautiful national women’s dresses decorated with hand-made embroidery adorned our exposition.

Fashion show presented by the Ashgabat Fashion House and Gulzaman salon made a strong impression on participants and guests to the international forum. Authoritative fashion experts highly appreciated the work of Turkmen designers. In particular, the head of the European Institute of Design Rome Lara Aragno expressed admiration with the collection of Turkmen designers. Director of the Fashion Enter, the UK Jennifer Holloway demonstrated keen interest and readiness for cooperation.

Participants of the meeting in Riga, including such companies as KOVOP, Texrep Baltika, SIA MIEDZINI, Midyat Import and Expert, UAB RUDHOLMAS, IPLETEKS TEKSTIL and many others, expressed interest in establishing close business relations with Turkmenistan, where the most favorable conditions for investments are created.

According to the organisers and participants of this prestigious forum, Turkmenistan’s participation allowed them to learn more about the achievements of the Turkmen national industry and its potential as well as to see the original culture, traditions and rich history of the Turkmen people. Moreover, it has become another efficient step towards new markets, including those ones in the Baltic region.
