The 4th round of Turkmenistan Premier League Cup started with the matches in Dashoguz, Mary, Turkmenabat and Balkanabat on April 23.
The match between FC Dashoguz and FC Talyp Sporty, the team of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism brought together 9,000 spectators in the administrative centre of the northern region of the country. The start of both clubs in the tournament was not a success; they gained one point in the previous matches. The guest team scored two goals and won 2:0. They were scored by Begli Meredov (9th minute) and Shohrat Murhaliev (36th minute).
FC Sagadam and FC Bagtyyarlyk-Lebap held the match in Turkmenabat. FC Sagadam from Turkmenbashi won 1:0. The goal was scored by Yunus Orazmamedov in the 73rd minute.
The vice champions of Turkmenistan FC Merv won 3:2 in the match with MTTU, the bronze medallists of 2013 Turkmenistan Championship and the holders of Turkmenistan Super Cup. The match took place in the administrative centre of Mary Velayat. Zakir Hasanov scored two goals (15th, 20th minutes), Begench Allamov scored the penalty goal (72nd minute) for FC Merv. Hemra Amanmamedov (35th minute) and Arslanmurad Aman (81st minute) scored the goals for MTTU.
The reigning Turkmenistan champions FC Balkan played with FC Ahal in Balkanabat. Before the match FC Ahal used to be the only team in the tournament that had lost no point and conceded no goal. Mamedali Karadanov scored three goals (19th, 33rd, 57th minutes) and broke the 288-minute ‘whitewash’ series of FC Ahal. The goal scored by Serdar Geldyev (47th minute) saved FC Ahal from loss of prestige.
This victory allows the team of the Turkmennebit State Concern, who gained 10 points, to lead in the tournament. FC Ahal and FC Merv gained 9 points each.
