In these days, the Congress of the Asian Football Confederation, where the delegation of Turkmenistan participates as full member, takes place in the capital of Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur.
Membership in authoritative continental football organization, which includes 46 countries, assists to stir up the integration process of the national football into the system of regular international competitions. Owing to constant participation in the Asian Tournaments at the level of national teams and clubs, our compatriots accumulate rich experience and improve their mastery.
In the last two cup tournaments of challenge AFC held in 2010 and 2012 in Sri Lanka and Nepal correspondingly, the Turkmen football players reached twice the final. In the current year, in the course of elimination tournament in the Philippines, they won a right to take part in the final of the Cup of challenge AFC to be held with participation of eight teams in Maldives in 2014.
Participation of the Turkmen delegation in such representative Congress of AFC is a good opportunity to strengthen considerably the international sport cooperation.
