The spring horse racing season has started at the Ashgabat Equestrian Sports Complex. By tradition, over 100 Ahalteke horses compete for ten prizes.
The major part of participants competed in 1,000-meter distance. Bay horse Pirgul (1 minute 08.1 sec), Millet (1 minute 08.3 sec), Gulsary (1 minute 08.1 sec), Merjen (1 minute 08.7 sec), Gekhan (1 minute 09.5 sec) and black horse Elkhan (1 minute 09.4 sec) ranked the first in this round.
Black horse Garchgay (1 minute 39.0 sec), bay Garashmaz (1 minute 39.1 sec) bred at the stable of the Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank, and dark-bay Enysh bred at the stable of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan (1 minute 35.2 sec) demonstrated the best result in the 1,400-meter distance.
In the fifth round, the bay horse Kemer from the Ahalteke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan ranked the first in the 1,200-meterr distance in 1 minute 21.0 seconds.
Gundogar (2 minutes 24.3 sec) was the first in the two-kilometre races.
Sorrel Melegush demonstrated the best result – 2 minutes 36.0 sec in the 2,200 meter races.
