In the 4th Basketball Tournament for the Cup “Friendship” among boys under 1996, it was determined the participants of decisive contests for medals.
In the final match, two capital’s teams – “Ashgabat-1” and “Olympus” compete for honorable trophy. “Lebap” and “Balkan” will compete for bronze medals. It was determined today according to the results of semifinals.
In the first of them, the team of basketball sports school of Ashgabat city sports committee “Ashgabat-1” won a victory over “Lebap” – 72:47, in the second – the representatives of the sports school “Olympus” won “Balkan” – 62:48.
Current owners of the Cup “Friendship” – the basketball players of “Olympus” won a trophy twice – in 2010 and 2012. Their opponents in the final – “Ashgabat-1” team won once in the tournament – in 2011. The result of this tournament will be known on May 10.
Match for the third place and final will be held in the capital’s “Galkynysh” physical and sports complex.
