Semifinals of the 13th Youth Football Tournament for the Cup “Friendship” among boys under 17 years old were held in “Ashgabat” stadium.
In the first of them, the team of football sports school of Ashgabat city sports committee “Ashgabat” and current owner of honorable trophy “Balkan” have met. The teams left for recess with score 1:0 to “Balkan”. In the second half, the opponents have exchanged with goals. At the end, “Balkan” won– 2:1 and reached the final for the third time in succession.
In another match between the football players of the specialized children and youth school of the Olympic Reserve of the State Committee for sports and “Akhal” team, the basic time and overtime couldn’t reveal the winner – 0:0. In a series of penalty kicks, the success accompanied the athletes of the coach Chary Annamamedov from “SDYuShOR” – 3:1. Goalkeeper of the winners Rahat Japarov, who parried two penalty kicks, became the hero of the match.
Thus, on May 1, “Akhal” and “SDYuShOR” will meet in the final. “Ashgabat” and “Akhal” will play in the match for the third place. Both games will be held in “Kopetdag” stadium.
