Team of the sports school “Olympus” became the winner of the 4th Basketball Cup Tournament “Friendship” instituted in 2010 for the youth basketball teams of Turkmenistan. The athletes of the coach A. Annayev gained this success for the third time, having beaten today in the final the last year’s bronze prize winner – team of the basketball sports school of Ashgabat city sports committee “Ashgabat-1” – 59:49.

On the way to the final, “Olympus” won a victory over “Balkan” in the semifinal – 62:48 and “Ashgabat-1” won a victory over “Lebap” – 72:47.

In the match for the 3rd place, the last year’s silver prize winner “Lebap” gained a victory over “Balkan” – 70:59.

In the solemn closing of the tournament, its winners were awarded with 4 thousand US dollars besides the Cup and gold medals. Silver prize winner received 3 thousand US dollars and bronze winner – 2 thousand US dollars. The team, which won the 4th place, was awarded with 1 thousand US dollars. Other teams received 500 US dollars each.

8 teams from all provinces of the country and Ashgabat competed for the Basketball Cup “Friendship”.
