The 7th last race day but one of spring racing season was held in Ashgabat Equestrian Complex. As usual, the participants competed in 10 disciplines. Major of them is the 6th horse race, where it was played the traditional prize “Garader” in 2400-meter distance among Akhalteke racers of 4 years old and elder.
Garader is the legendary black horse of the past, successor of the famous Akhalteke line Kirsakar. In due time (seventies and eighties of the last century), it was unconquerable racer in many international races. For example, it is worth mentioning the competitions held in the Russian city Krasnodar. Garader took part in these races, which gathered the strongest racers from many countries, ten times and always finished first. A bulk of viewers of the Krasnodar equestrian contests came to support the Turkmen Akhalteke horse delighted a lot of fans of races with its beauty, speed and invincibility.
At present, many descendants of Garader took part in the horse races, being held in the hippodrome of Ashgabat Equestrian Complex, and quite often become the prize winners. Main prize named after this legendary Akhalteke horse was won by the master-jockey Begenchmyrat Agamyradov galloped on bay horse Dalbedev, belonging to Akhalteke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan.
In autumn of the last year, B. Agamyradov participated in significance races for “Prize of Triumphal Arch” in France, having become the first among jockeys of the Asian region in these prestigious European contests. Today, in “pursuit” of “Garader” prize, B. Agamyradov together with bay horse Dalbedev overcame 2400-meter distance within 2 minutes and 47.1 seconds.
