The Turkmen sportsmen will perform in the Asian Sambo and Combat Sambo Championship, which will start on June 5 in the capital of Uzbekistan – Tashkent. National team of Turkmenistan, which includes 40 athletes, will be represented in all contests as one of most numerous teams in this championship.
In Gokdere, the group of Turkmen sportsmen prepare for the World Student Games within the framework of team practice session. Weightlifters, who prepare for the Asian Championship among men, also improve their mastery there. This sport event will be held from June 21 to 26 in the capital of Kazakhstan – Astana.
Beach Volleyball Championship of Akhal province will be held in Gokdepe on June 7. In Ak Bugday and Baharly etraps of the same region, the tournaments on basketball and indoor soccer will be conducted from June 4 to 10.
The competitions on kickboxing, boxing, traditional karate, intellectual kinds of sports, Greco-Roman wrestling, football, and volleyball will be also held this week in Ashgabat, vilayet and etrap centers.
