Today, within the framework of solemn events timed to the World Environment Day, the conference, which gathered the leading specialists, experts, ecologists, specialists of nature conservation structures, agro-industrial complex and water economy of the country, was held in the conference hall of the Agricultural Complex of Turkmenistan. The representatives of the largest international and regional organizations, including the UN Development Program, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia, Europe House in Turkmenistan and others took part in the conference and delivered reports.

In the course of plenary and sessional meetings, the national and foreign contributors told about attained joint successes in the field of nature protection on the territory of Turkmenistan and prospects of environmental cooperation in the regional and global scale in future.

Within the framework of the forum, the distinguished workers of the nature conservation sphere, who gained weighty successes in the field of preservation and augmentation of the riches of the nature of the native land, were awarded with valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
