The third meeting of the Turkmen-British Trade and Industry Council took place at the Oguzkent Hotel in Ashgabat. UK businessmen, including the heads and key specialists of eighteen leading companies specialized in various spheres, in particular ARUP, BG Group, BP Exploration, Buried Hill, Colvir Sortware Solutions, Eagle Scientific Limited, JTA, SCG London Limited, Shell International, Petrofac, Agusta Westland and others have arrived in Turkmenistan to take part in the forum. The heads and specialists of the sectoral ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan represented our country at the forum.
The forum agenda focused on the progress in implementing earlier achieved agreements as well as the prospects for further development of the Turkmen-British cooperation.
The trade and economic sector, transport sphere, construction, industry, etc. were specified among the priority areas of the Turkmen-British partnership.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, the sphere of advanced information, industrial and telecommunication technologies as well as sports and education.

Within the framework of the visit to Ashgabat, the members of the UK delegation were received at the Government of Turkmenistan.
