The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the traditional contest for the best scientific work among youth took place at the conference hall of Magtymguly Turkmen State University on occasion the Day of Science.
Young specialists of the scientific and research instotutions, production associations, scientific and technological enterprises, teachers and students of higher educational institutions, specialized schools, young citizens of Turkmenistan who demonstrate keen interest in science took part in the intellectual contest held by the Central Council of Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan jointly with the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
The number of participants of the prestigious scientific contest increases with every passing year. This year 716 young talented Turkmen citizens, including 184 scientists and 532 students participated in the contest. Developments and researches on the important areas of the modern science were submitted to the expert commission for consideration. Among them are: innovative technologies in the agro-industrial complex; ecology and efficient use of natural resources; energy, fuel and their efficient use; chemical technologies and establishment of new types of competitive products; construction, architecture and seismology; medicine and medicinal agent production; informative and telecommunication technologies as well as economic and humanitarian sciences.
Cabinet ministers, heads of ministries and departments, higher educational institutions of the country, scientists, and representatives of public organisations, university professors and students as well as doctoral candidates and postgraduate students of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan attended the awarding ceremony. Among the guests of honour to the ceremony were participants of the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference “Science, technology and innovative technologies in the epoch of might and happiness”.
Diplomas and valuable presents were awarded to the winners of the contest on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
