The official ceremony of opening of the IV Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games that brought together over 4,500 sportsmen from 40 countries took place on the main sports arena - Incheon Samsan World Gymnasium on June 29. Within eight days, participants of the Asian Games will compete for 100 sets of medals in 12 sports. The national team of Turkmenistan, including 70 sportsmen will represent our country in seven events. On the first day of the tournament, our futsal players gained a decisive victory 4-1 over the team of Saudi Arabia.
22 teams qualified into seven groups participate in the futsal events. Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia and Japan were qualified into Group F.
The first half of the match ended with the victory of our team – 1-0.
In the second half of the match, our rivals brought the score level – 1-1. In the last four minutes of the match, our sportsmen scored three goals.
