The title of Honorable Professor for the German doctors

Solemn ceremony of handing of the diplomas of Honorable Professors to two German professors - Uve Hazbargen and Andreas V.Flemmer was held at the State Medical University of Turkmenistan. They participate in the realization of the Turkmen-German project on determination of the currency of gestational diabetes, i.e. diabetes of expectant mothers. This project is realized jointly with the specialists of the International Mother and Child Health Protection Center “Ene Mahri” since 2008.

The results of the scientific researches as well as contribution to the development of partnership of two countries in the field of public health were highly appreciated by the medical and scientific community of Turkmenistan. After completion of official ceremony, they shared with their impressions.


Uve Hazbargen:

- I am very glad to receive this honorable title. Since realization of our joint project, a lot has been done. I hope that the commencement we made for cooperation will be good foundation for further partnership between Turkmenistan and Germany in the field of public health. I am very glad that public health ranks in your countries among priority trends of the state policy. You are happy people. Your President is a doctor by training and therefore, he knows the best for his people to be healthy and then – happy. From our part, we will do our best for successful continuation of this constructive, fruitful dialogue.


Andreas V.Flemmer:

- It is great honor for me to get the title of Honorable Professor of the State Medical University of Turkmenistan. Invitation to Turkmenistan for realization of joint project with the specialists of the International Mother and Child Health Protection Center “Ene Mahri” was of great interest for me. Having arrived here, I was really inspired with your city, its beautiful buildings and numerous green parks and public gardens. I understood that it is the country, where people think over their health and future. This country, which is always in progress, develops constantly. It is perfected attracting all the best available in the world today.

Of course, I am very glad to get the opportunity to work jointly with the Turkmen colleagues. I should say that activity with the Turkmen colleagues excites enormous joy. Their enthusiasm really delights. It is worth mentioning the interest of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, government and President of Turkmenistan, who always supports us, in the results of our scientific researches.
