New sport school for 365pupils was put into exploitation in Ata-yab village of gengeshlik named after O. Ersariyev of Akdepe etrap in the atmosphere of particular solemnity.

The school has three spacious halls intended for training in such kinds of sports as volleyball, basketball, tennis, handball, boxing, martial arts, judo, recreational gymnastics and others. Major hall is fitted with spectators' stands and can be transformed for conduction of trainings and contests on some kind of sports. It was also envisaged the referee's and educational rooms, rooms for coaches, first-aid post, shower cubicles, indirect life support system of the facility. Outdoor sport grounds, including football field and running tracks were constructed on its adjoining territory. Earlier, such school was also opened in the administrative center of the etrap.

New sport structures with stadiums for one and a half thousand seats for spectators and specialized sport schools are constructed in Koneurgench etrap and Gorogly etrap, etraps named after S. Turkmenbashi and S.A. Niyazov as well as other etraps of the northern region of the country.
