More than 8,500 amateur sportsmen and supporters of the healthy lifestyle participated in the cycling race started from the intersection of the Kopetdag and Chandybil Avenues till the main square in the Turkmen capital.

The large-scale sports action held within the framework of the preparations for the cycling race to be organized throughout the country on September 1 brought together the specialists of ministries and departments, public organisations as well as numerous youth.

The cycling race on September 1 will be held in the country within the Traffic Safety Month, thus all citizens of Turkmenistan, including children, schoolchildren, students and workers in various sectors will have a chance to move by bicycle - the most environmentally friendly transport.
