Conference, which agenda included the issues on realization of tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which were announced in the course of presentation of the projects of a series of large sport facilities to be held in the capital’s Olympic Township, was held at the National Institute of Sports and Tourism of Turkmenistan.
The representatives of the State Committee for sports, well-known coaches and sportsmen of the country, representatives of the system of sport medicine, mass media, students of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism, State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan and others took part in the discussion.
As is known, the day before, in the course of presentation held in the Olympic Township of the capital, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid special attention to the sketches of talisman of the Asian Games to be held in Ashgabat in 2017. The nation leader pointed to the necessity of serious approach to the matter of selection of symbolism of the Asian Games – talisman, logotype and emblem, which are original symbols of the country, where the Games take place. Particular place is attached to the talisman of the Asian Games, which should be recognizable and reflect the spirit of participants of the competitions, creating the atmosphere of holiday. In this connection, the President of Turkmenistan underlined purposefulness of announcement of the contest for the best sketch of talisman and organization of a wide coverage in the mass media of the presentation of proposals on talisman of the Asian Indoor Games and Martial Art of 2017.
In the course of the meeting at the National Institute of Sport and Tourism, its participants, being guided with the instruction of the nation leader, emphasized that it is necessary to involve people as much as possible for participation in the contest, providing at that the widest inclusion of population, including young artists and designers.
