Two-day seminar organized within the framework of joint project of the Central Election Committee for conduct of elections and referenda in Turkmenistan and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) started its work in Ashgabat.

Representative of UNDP Mrs. Renata Lapti took part as international expert in the work of seminar devoted to the world practice in the field of improvement and development of electoral concepts and systems.

In the course of the seminar, its participants discussed the international experience and standards with a view of their efficient use in the national electoral practice as well as accentuated attention on importance of works carried out in our country in connection with preparation of upcoming elections of the deputies of the Parliament of Turkmenistan in December of the current year.
