The presentation of the fifth volume of the fundamental scientific work "Medical plants of Turkmenistan" by President of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place in the conference hall of the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.


The new book provides the information on the national medical heritage and describes the healing properties of 150 kinds of medical plants growing in our country as well as the opportunities for sung them in the scientific and traditional medicine.

The book consists of three parts: the first part describes the medical plants characteristics presented in alphabetical order, the second one specifies the scientific basis and the methods of using medical plants in the sanatoriums in our country. The book also provides colorful illustrations, useful information, the Turkmen-Russian-Latin dictionary of the medical plants, the calendar of plants harvesting, etc.
