Festive ceremonies on the occasion of the beginning of school year took place in all parts of Turkmenistan.
In the capital, they were forestalled with mass patriotic action – flower laying ceremony at the Independence Monument. The first formers of the secondary schools and first-year students of the higher and secondary professional educational institutions took part in it.
As a good tradition, solemn inaugurations of new educational establishments were held among numerous festive events on this significant day in the capital and provinces.
On the first day of 2013-2014 school year, three super-modern comprehensive schools constructed in the etraps, which recently entered into territorial composition of the city – one in Rukhabat and another – in Abadan, opened wide their doors for young residents of Ashgabat.
Three schools have been put into exploitation in the northern Dashoguz province: school for 250 pupils was opened in Maslahat-depe village of “Maslahat” gengeshlik in Koneurgench etrap, school for 320 pupils – in Amyderya village of “Yashlyk” gengeshlik in Gubadag etrap, school for 422 pupils – in Medet-oba village of “Pagtachylyk” gengeshlik in Akdepe etrap.
Two rural schools also welcomed their pupils today in Akhal province. Three-storey school for 620 pupils was constructed in Garagan village of Baharly etrap, school for 250 pupils in Babadayhan settlement of Babadayhan etrap.
Two modern secondary schools for 640 pupils replenished the net of educational establishments of Lebap. Their solemn opening was held in “Kishtuvan” genegeshlik of Serdarabat etrap and Jeyhun settlement of Farap etrap.
The best builders were awarded with valuable gifts at the solemnities devoted to the commissioning of new comprehensive schools. Commissioning ceremonies of new educational institutions reflect a bright palette of Turkmen holiday with songs and music, variety of colors and diversity of festive attributes.
As a whole, in new school year, over 967 thousand pupils will go to the secondary schools of the country and new stage in their life was started today for most of them and first of all, for those, who first stepped the school threshold, – nearly 193 first formers. They became the main heroes of the holiday. During festive ceremonies, the honorable elders and women of elder generation gifted them on behalf of the esteemed president net-books provided with special teaching and educational programs on behalf of the head of state.
Another gift of the President of Turkmenistan is intended for pupils of the capital’s Palace “Dovletliler koshgi”. It is the comfortable bus.
At the solemnities held today in the higher educational establishments of the country, on the instruction of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the vice-chairpersons of the Cabinet of Ministers and other officials of the country became the honorable guests.
On behalf of the head of state, they presented to the higher educational establishments the fifth volume of the book “Medicinal plant of Turkmenistan”, which was recently completed by the nation leader.
The awarding ceremony of certificate on membership of the International Association of Universities to the International University of Oil and Gas attached particular significance to the solemnity.
In the afternoon, music and song, mass sport events were held in the educational establishments of Turkmenistan.
A large solemnity, which took place in the evening in music and song center “Ashgabat”, was also devoted to the current significant holiday.
