The second meeting of the authorized representatives of the Caspian States started at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The three-day forum is held with the aim to discuss the project of the Agreement on cooperation to prevent the natural and man-made emergencies and their effects on the Caspian Sea and littoral zones.
The first meeting that taken place in the Turkmen capital on April 15-17 offered a powerful incentive to consideration of the Agreement drafted by Turkmenistan in accordance with the initiative put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the third Summit of the heads of the Caspian States held in Baku, Azerbaijan in November, 2010.
Exchanging their views, the experts will discuss the prospective vectors for developing the legal basis of the long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Caspian States.
