Turkmen tennis players A. Ernepesov and G. Pochay reached the semifinal of pair grade in the International Junior Tournament, going on in Ashgabat in honor of the 22nd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.

The Turkmen duet under number one gained this success, having got better today in the quarterfinal of the international pair – V. Gnilozubova (Kazakhstan) and B. Husina (Indonesia) –7:6(4), 7:5. Earlier in the first lap, our compatriots won a victory over Uzbek pair B. Gafurov – Sh. Rajabov – 6:2, 6:0.

Among women in pair grade, D. Bayramova will continue the fight in the semifinal among our tennis players. In the pair with the Russian M. Ifijen, she won in the quarterfinal a victory over international duet M. Okutan (Turkmenistan) – P. Sagung (Indonesia) – 6:2, 6:1.

Today, in the tournament, it was also held the games in single grade, where among Turkmen tennis players, it was reached the quarterfinal: among women - D. Bayramova, who easily won a victory over S. Smirnova (Uzbekistan) – 6:3, 6:1, and among men – A. Ernepesov, G. Pochay and I. Mametkuliyev. In 1/2 final, it is met: A. Ernepesov - G. Pochay, I. Mametkuliyev – M. Zinchirli (Turkey), S. Esterman (Russia) – D. Bayramova.
