Today, International exhibition and congress “Tourism and journeys” timed to the World Tourism Day and devoted to the strategic purposes and tasks of development of this sector of Turkmenistan’s economy was opened in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”.
The members of government, officials of core organizations of the country, representatives of the business circles, numerous foreign companies, and mass media took part in the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition held in “Nebitchi” hotel. The Regional coordinator of the World Tourism Organization Beka Jakeli is among honorable guests of the forum.
The representative composition of the participants of the forum organized by the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Tourism and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country testifies that the foreign investors, experts of the market and large companies, which are specialized in various spheres of economy, show high interest in tourist potential of Turkmenistan, including in grandiose project of creation of the tourist zone “Avaza”. They are the officials and specialists of the national travel agencies, representatives of partner structures from over 20 world countries, including Great Britain, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, UAE, Argentina, Thailand, Turkey, Iran, Russia, Czech Republic, Latvia and others.
The exposition expanded in “Nebitchi” hotel demonstrates huge prospects of development of international cooperation on the basis of possibilities of tourist complex in Turkmenistan. The state organizations and departments, private enterprises of our country, foreign companies, taking part or desiring to participate in the realization of joint projects, are represented in the review. Some of them represent only the concept, others – concrete plan or program. In general, the exhibition is an original panorama of trends and tendencies of development of world tourism industry.
The exhibition gives an opportunity to participants of the forum to demonstrate their prospective proposals, products and services, familiarize with unique tourist possibilities of Turkmenistan and its regions, and get urgent information about latest tendencies in industry of travels and hospitality.
In the afternoon, opening of the congress was held in the conference hall of “Arzuw” hotel with participation of the representatives of various ministries, departments and organizations of Turkmenistan, regional administration as well as international and foreign companies and firms.
Today, the forum participants also visited “Yelken” yacht club, where they familiarized with comfortable conditions created here for reception of guests, possibilities for training in aquatic sports, yacht service as well as walked on yachts.
Tomorrow, the forum will continue its work. Within the framework of the congress, it will be held the sectional work on such topics as marketing of the tourism industry, development tendencies of its infrastructure, training of personnel for the sector and other aspects of dialogue between representatives of state structures, tourism organizations and commercial structures.
