A student of the International Turkmen-Turkish University, top-rated tennis player of Turkmenistan A. Ernepesov won the first place in the men’s doubles in the 12th International Junior Tournament, which is held in our country each year in honour of Independence Day.
It is notable that A. Ernepesov won the silver medal of the 3rd International Junior Tennis Tournament Ashgabat Cup. In the final of the ITF International Junior Tournament Grade 5, 18-year-old Turkmen tennis player defeated his rival from Ukraine in three sets and won the first place for the first time.
S. Esterman from Russia defeated L. Gancharova from Belarus in the final and became the winner in the women's singles. Our tennis player D. Bayramova lost to S. Esterman in the women's singles quarterfinal but won the silver medal in the tandem with M. Ifidjen (Russia) in the women's doubles. A Russian duet S. Esterman - A. Gasanova won the first place in the women's doubles.
Turkish tennis players - A. Hergunvarim - M. Zinchirli defeated their rivals from Uzbekistan and won the first place in the men's doubles. The best Turkmen tennis players A. Ernepesov and G. Pochay lost to the Turkish duet in the semifinal.
