The team of Turkmenistan has returned back to the motherland with the Cup of champions from Asian juniors’ football festival that was held in Inchon city (the Republic of Korea) - the capital of upcoming XVII Asian summer games of 2014.
The largest sport forum that was organized by National Youth Football Federation of the Republic of Korea was taken place under the motto “Play with the dream forever!” with the purpose of further development of junior football in Asian countries.
The festival has gathered about thousands of young talents at the age from 10 up to 12 which made over 50 teams from 16 countries. All participants depending on their age have been divided into groups, in each of them the best team in the results of rotational tournament becomes a winner of the festival.
In this continental festival our country was represented by the team of 10 years’ old football players of the children’s Football Club “Millennium” the staff of which includes trainees of sport football school of Ashgabat city sport committee and specialized children’s and juniors’ school of the Olympic reserves of State committee for Sport of Turkmenistan.
In the first game Turkmen players have drawn the game with team of “Jiangong Primary School” (China) - with the score of 4 to 4. In the second time they prevailed over the children of the same age from the “Wabu” Football Club (The Republic of Korea) with the score of 1 to 0. The victorious goal was scored by the team captain Andrey Timchur. During the third meeting pupils of Coach Vladimir Miller have beaten the Football Club “Gaon” (the Republic of Korea) with the score of 2 to 0. Goals related to B. Ovezov and I. Aulov. In the final meeting our compatriots have won the game with the score of 6 to 2 over one more Korean team “Hwasung Junior” and gathered 10 points in group B-1, became one of the winners of Asian junior football festival. In the final game players of our team A, Timchur scored three goals, I.Aulov 2 and A.Bazarov-1 goal.
During closing ceremony of the festival its participants, including football players from Turkmenistan have awarded with commemorative medals.
Asian junior football festival, as confirmed in the practice, is a jumping off place in to the big football. Well, we hope that our young winners have a great sports future ahead of them.
