Student of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism, quarterfinalist of the 2013 World Universiade in Kazan Zarip Jumaev won the second victory at the 17th World Boxing Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Defeating Mohammad Nazari (Afghanistan), our 21-year-old Master of Sports from Turkmenabat ranks the 16th among the top boxers in the under 52-kg weighting category.

Z. Jumaev will compete versus E. Mamishzade (Azerbaijan), who defeated E. Salas (Venezuela) 2-1, for the right to be qualified for the quarterfinal.
