On the threshold of the 22d anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan it was held a solemn opening ceremony of Turkmen cultural and educational center first in Ukraine in University of economy and trade of Poltava. Its creation is one more step on the way of development of international cooperation between Ukraine and Turkmenistan. The center activity falls to Turkmen students that are studied in higher educational establishments of Poltava and familiarization of the Ukraine youth with rich cultural traditions of Turkmen nation.


During solemn opening ceremony of the center, the head of diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Ukraine and rector of University of economy and trade of Poltava had a welcoming speech. Then it was held a holiday concert prepared by joint efforts of Turkmen and Ukraine sides.

Performances of actors of amateur talent group of higher educational establishment that consists of Turkmen and Ukraine students, pupils of children’s choreographic groups, representatives of folk ensemble of professors and teachers’ staff of the university were presented to attention of numerous guests of the center.

A holiday food prepared from national Turkmen and Ukraine dishes underlined cordial atmosphere of the event.
