The final meeting of participants of the project “Further improvement of quality and importance of vocational education in Turkmenistan” that implemented in our country under the auspices of European Union from June 2011 was held in Ashgabat.
The main project coordinator from the Turkmen side was the Ministry of Education. And also representatives of other ministries as Ministry of economy and development, finance, agriculture, construction, labor and social security of the population, trade and foreign economic relations, public service have been involved in project realization.
The list of participants from the Turkmen side made by National institute of Education, Academy of science, Union of industrialists and entrepreneurs, State committee for statistics, State committee for tourism, Institute of strategic planning and economic development, regional initial and medium vocational educational establishment, municipalities and others as well.
Such representative but not complete, the staff of Turkmen participants of project just confirmed its strategically important goals aimed at support of priority state tasks in the field of training of professional working personnel for different spheres of national economy. In this stage it was carried out large scale activities on expansion of personnel potential of such priority fields of state development as tourism and hotel business, construction and agriculture.
During project operation it was organized tens of different training courses, including educational tours for Turkmen specialists to the countries- partners, number of working meetings and training seminars that were held in National institute of education of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting Turkmen specialists and their partners- representatives of European education fund, European committee and company WYG International, international experts performed with the final reports.
All participants of the final meeting were unison in opinions that the work that have been started under the auspices of European Union just gains speed and extensive race of proliferation of knowledge and the best practices in our country is going on actively.
It is significant that not only representatives of working groups created under the auspices but the whole teaching staffs of the main elementary and medium vocational schools have become participants of the race of activities. Today on their basis owing to successful cooperation with EU partners it is going on active progression on the way of further upgrading of the whole system of vocational education of Turkmenistan with orientation to the best world standards in this sphere and actually every year new and new vocational schools are created in different regions of our country.
