An international conference on the study of the international practices in the context of the ongoing legal reforms in our country took place in the conference hall of the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan. The forum organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Supreme Court jointly with the Regional Programme "Promotion of the rule of law in Central Asia" of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) provided a platform for discussing the prospects for further reforming the civil processes in the field of public law in the country.

The international experts from Germany and Latvia, the representatives of the judicial bodies, the Mejlis and the Supreme Court, the Turkmen National Institute of Democracy and Human Rights and the Institute of State and Law under the President of Turkmenistan and university professors participated in the conference.

The presentations focused on the main areas and trends of the modernization of the national civil procedure legislation and the development of the administrative legal process in Turkmenistan. a judge at the Federal Administrative Court of Germany Prof. Harald Dorig, a judge at the Administrative Court of Berlin Mr. Joerg Pudelka and a judge at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Latvia Mr. Janis Neimanis presented the reports on the international practices in these fields.

Emphasizing fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and the German Society for International Cooperation, the conference participants focused on the mutual willingness to strengthen effective partnership, particularly in the legal sector.
