The International Scientific Conference on the Trends of Biotechnology Development in Turkmenistan closed in the Avaza National tourist zone. The three working sessions of the international conference covered such themes as agricultural, livestock and food technology; medical and pharmaceutical biotechnology; biological industry, biological resources, marine and environmental biotechnology.

The reviews of the national strategies and priority areas of developing the biotechnologies were presented during the plenary sections. The scientists from Russia, Japan, Korea, Spain, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and other countries made presentations about the new scientific discoveries in this sphere. The forum participants focused on the opportunities of using innovative technologies in the various sectors of the national economy of Turkmenistan given the national interests and priorities, development of joint projects.

The International Scientific Conference on the Trends of Biotechnology Development in Turkmenistan provided the foreign guests with the opportunity to learn more about the achievements of Turkmen scientists, share their experience and define the priority areas for consolidation of the joint efforts in such prospective area as the industry of biotechnologies.
