The final matches of the 6th round of the First Hockey Championship of Turkmenistan of 2013-2014 were held on the ice arena of Winter Sports Complex. The results of round showed that the leaders consolidated their positions, having got ahead of outsiders in points.

It is worth reminding that 8 teams – “Galkan” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, “Watanchi” of the Ministry of Defense, “Alp Arslan” of the Ministry of Communication, “Shir” of the State Commodity and Raw material Exchange, “Merdana” of the State Frontier Service, “Oguzhan” of “Turkmengas” State Concern, ‘Nesil” of the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and “Bagtiyarlyk” of sports school of the State Committee for sports took part in the championship.

After six rounds, “Galkan” leads having 18 points to its credit. The sixth victory was gained by the players of this club over “Alp Arslan”, having scored 19 unreciprocated pucks. At that, the 19th goal scored by A. Vahovski under number 19 was fixed 19 second before completion of the meeting.

“Nesil” also won major victories, having beaten “Watanchi” with a score of 13 goals to one, “Oguzhan”, which left no chances to hockey players of “Bagtiyarlyk” - 15:2.

A match between “Shir” and “Merdana” distinguished with stubborn struggle. Here, everything was known in the last minutes of the meeting, when the players of the second team made several effective attacks and won with a score of 9 goals to six.

It is interesting that it was a player - the forward Pavel Barkovskiy of the defeated team, who scored all six goals. He became leader of the list of goal-scorers of the Championship – 45 scored pucks. Meylis Kuliyev (22 pucks) from “Nesil” team is on the second place and Alexander Vahovskiy (18 pucks) from “Galkan” team closes the top three of best goal-scorers.

The matches of the seventh round of the First Hockey Championship of Turkmenistan of 2013-2014 will be held on Saturday and Sunday on the same ice arena of Winter Sports Complex.
