The meeting with the members of the OSCE delegation, who had arrived in the Turkmen capital to observe the preparations and organization of the elections of the Mejlis deputies scheduled for December 15, took place at the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda in Turkmenistan.
The mission sent by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights at the invitation of Turkmenistan is headed by Ambassador Alexander Kelchevsky (France).
The guests got acquainted with the calendar of the forthcoming events scheduled by the Central Election Committee, the list of constituencies and polling stations, the samples of election documents, and the work done on site in general.
The meeting participants exchanged their views on the existing conditions and prospects for cooperation to enhance the potential of the election system in Turkmenistan in the light of the large-scale democratic reforms taken place in the country.
