The administrative building of the Economic Complex of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat hosted the 13th meeting of the Turkmenistan - European Union Joint Committee. The Head of Central Asia Division, European External Action Service (EEAS) Ms. Riina Kionka led the EU delegation.
During the meeting, the delegations of Turkmenistan and the EU discussed the issues regarding the consolidation of the joint efforts to widen the mutually beneficial cooperation in various spheres of economy and implement the prospective programmes and projects of the European Union in Turkmenistan.
Particular attention was paid to such areas as trade and economic activities, energy, transport, education, and environment protection.
