The business forum - the Day of German Economy in Turkmenistan organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Germany’s Economy Office for Central Asia took place at the Mizan Business Centre in Ashgabat.
The delegation of the Federative Republic of Germany, including the specialists of the government structures and agencies on business business development as well as representatives of more than 70 companies specialized in various spheres, in particular - the trade, high technologies, oil and gas sector, energy, chemical industry, healthcare, education, banking sphere, transport and communication sphere, construction, industry, food industry and agriculture arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the meeting. Among the forum participants are businessmen representing such leading companies as RWE, Bosch, KNAUF International, STRABAG AG, CLAAS Global Sales GmbH, Siemens AG Healthcare Sector, Goetzpartners Management Consultans GmbH and others.
The representatives of the core ministries and departments, state and joint-stock commercial banks and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan represented our country at the forum.
The forum agenda focused on the issues of the further development of mutually beneficial bilateral partnership built on the equal and long-term basis.
Those speaking during the forum underlined that significant growth had been achieved in the sphere of trade. Thus, within the last years the trade turnover between the two countries has grown up to 11 percent. Over 60 economic entities with the share of German capital have opened their branches and representations in Turkmenistan today. More than 140 joint projects were implemented in the leading spheres of the national economy and a number of projects are implemented at present.
Within the framework of the forum, the heads of the state agencies of the Federative Republic of Germany and German companies had a number of meetings with the representatives of the ministries and departments as well as the private sector of Turkmenistan. The meeting participants discussed the prospects for development of the cooperation and specified the plans for the further partnership.
