World Kickboxing Championship in full-contact section held in the Turkish city Antalya provided “bronze” success to the Turkmen sportsman – Mekan Amanov, who raised the third step of podium in weight category up to 67 kilograms. Another two Turkmen athletes – Shohrat Khalliyev and Hudayguly Komekov were in the top five of the best kick-boxers of the planet in categories up to 63.5 kg and 51 kg correspondingly.

Mekan held on the ring 4 duels. In the first, he confidently overcame the Ukrainian sportsman – Oleg Fedorenko, and then won a victory over the Iranian athlete Rohulla Zaden Madjit and in the quarterfinal – his opponent from Belarus Oganez Safaryan, but in stubborn fight in semifinal he was worse than Kazakh athlete Erfayan Kassambayev in scores.

To be in the top five at the championship is a worthy result and it is not the first success in the international sport arena. So, Sh. Halliyev distinguished in “bronze” result at IV Asian Indoor Games and Martial Art held in summer of this year in the Chinese city Inchon, and H. Komekov – became the champion of Asia for this kind of sports in the last year.
