In the capital chess school of the city sports committee winners and prize winners of the two chess championships of Turkmenistan among children under 8 and juniors under the age 16 have been defined. For the title of champions of the country, the best masters of this sport from all provinces and Ashgabat demonstrated their intellect and power.

The competition organized by the State sports committee and the national Chess Centre was held in a circle system with a time limit of 1,5 hours for each game and additional 30 seconds after each move. This scheme was introduced by the International Federation of Chess several years ago and gives an opportunity for sportsmen to regulate the playtime.

The leader of the group of girls under the age, twice champion of the country in this age group Bagul Ezizova in this time has again proved that she is the best.

The student of Serdar Annaberdiyev from the Ashgabat sports school of chess could show 100 % result –Bagul completely won all games gaining 11 scores.

Let’s recall, last year Bagul was conferred the title of the best chess player of the planet in the age group under 7, winning a gold medal in the world championship among schoolchildren held in Greece. In the spring of the current year, she will have to compete in three national tournaments –championships of Turkmenistan among juniors under ages 10, 12 and 14. In the first age group, she is also an acting champion of the country.

Silver and bronze medal winners among 8 years old Turkmen chess players were Leyla and Lola Shokhradovas from the team of Lebap velayat. They have gained the same scores– 9,5. A decisive factor here was the balance of sports ratio where Leyla became victorious over her sister.

And boys in the age group under 8 sportsmen from the banks of the Amyderya led the competition and they headed the first two lines of the championship table. To the top of the table Mekan Jumaguliyew (14 scores) reached, and а «silver» was won by Mekan Rustamov (12 scores). The both sportsmen are taught by Guljakhan Ovlyakuliyeva. Khezretaly Khashimov won a bronze medal from Mary province.

Saparmyrat Atabayev has made a regular record and won in the age group under 16 with a score of 15 of 15 existing. It has become his 17th victory in national championship. And the main record and generally the main achievements in his sports career he made in the world chess Olympic in 2012 in Turkey where the Ashgabat sportsman won a gold medal in the age group under 16. Any other Turkmen chess player of the junior group has ever reached such height yet.

Now Saparmyrat who practices chess under the supervision of Honoured Coaches of Turkmenistan Aydogdy Atabayev and Orazly Annageldiyev (international grand master), prepares for the regular world chess Olympic among the juniors under 16 which will be held in Kazakhstan in autumn this year.

Returning to the championship of Turkmenistan, we should note that Khajikurban Dovletov yielded two scores to the winner and won a silver medal and Farkhan Kazimov closed the first trio.
