In the second round in Group A, the bronze winner of the first Hockey Tournament for the Turkmenistan President's Cup, HC Neftyannik (Russia) defeated 8-2 their rivals from Ukraine - HC Academy (Kiev).
Group B matches start on February 10. The Vice Champion of the first Turkmenistan President's Cup HC Oguzkhan (the Turkmengaz State Concern) will play versus HC Grodno (Belarus) at 2 pm.
The official ceremony of opening the tournament will take place at 4 pm. Upon completion of the ceremony, the winner of the first Hockey Championship of Turkmenistan HC Galkan (the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan) will meet with HC Atlant (Russia).
