The finalists of the international ice hockey tournament for Turkmenistan President’s Cup are announced. Two Turkmen hockey clubs – Sir and Oguzhan – will compete for the main trophy in the final.
HC Sir played with their compatriots from HC Galkan on the ice arena of the Winter Sports Centre in Ashgabat. Their sportsmanship helped the ice hockey players of HC Sir to win 3:1.
In the second semifinal, HC Oguzhan played with one of the famous ice hockey clubs from Russia – Neftyanik from Almetjevsk – the bronze-medal winners of Turkmenistan President’s Cup in 2013. This time, the Russian hockey players will again compete for the third place as HC Oguzhan had gained a hard-won victory 2:1 over their opponents.
Ice hockey fans will watch the third-place match between HC Galkan and HC Neftyanik and the duel between HC Sir and HC for Turkmenistan President’s Cup on February 17.
