FC Ahal won Turkmenistan Super Cup. The team of the Turkmennebitonumleri Chief Department of the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan has gained this achievement for the first time by defeating 4:2 the current national champions - the football team of the International Turkmen-Turkish University.

The tournament established by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan for the champions and Turkmenistan Cup winners has been held since 2005. To date, FC Balkan and the team of the International Turkmen-Turkish University have won Turkmenistan Super Cup three times and FC Ashgabat and FC Merv from Mary - one time.

The match between the champions and Turkmenistan Cup winners, which the national football season - 2014 began with, was held at Ashgabat Stadium.
