The 22nd Football Championship of Turkmenistan among teams of major league starts on March 7. Four teams of Ashgabat - the reigning champion of Turkmenistan ITTU (International Turkmen-Turkish University), bronze prize-winner “Altyn Asyr”, “Ashgabat” and “Talyp sporty”; owner of the Cup and Super Bowl of the country “Akhal” (Akhal province), vice-champion “Balkan” from Balkanabat, “Shagadam” (Turkmenbashi), “Dashoguz” from the city of the same name, “Merv” (Mary province) and “Bagtiyarlyk-Lebap” from town on the Amyderya will compete for the gold medals.

On the first day, it will be held five matches. Three of them will take place on green football fields of the Ashgabat sport complexes – ITTU will meet with “Talyp sporty”, “Altyn Asyr” with “Bagtiyarlyk-Lebap” and “Ashgabat” with “Shagadam”. In the administrative center of Balkan province, “Balkan” will accept “Dashoguz” and in Mary, “Merv” will compete with “Akhal”.
